My wife and I took the kids to Boo in the Zoo at the Greenville Zoo this last Saturday. I had never been before and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. While you do get to go to the zoo and see the animals, it’s really just one big giant Trunk or Treat style event without the cars.

This year, it was my son’s first Halloween. And I had the brilliant idea to dress him up as Grogu, better known as Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian TV series. We definitely got a lot of attention and I’m quite proud of how it turned out. This is the way.

My wife struggled with the idea of trying to figure out what character to be herself. She found the costume online for Cara Dune but she was unhappy with the way it fit but she wore it to the Boo in the Zoo anyway.

My stepdaughter Princess L was Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She’s not much of a Star Wars kid, so that would have been a tough sell to get her to match us.

They have plenty of cool areas to walk around and stations for trick or treating. Baby Alexander definitely got no candy. But his sister definitely did.

I was very excited to get a photo with Kylo Ren and Rey (Palpatine) Skywalker.

Princess L was delighted to see Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Queen Elsa from Frozen. Elsa wanted to hold Alex for the photo and he wanted to grab Ariel’s hair, LOL.

Right before our time at the event was over we saw this Grogu statue. I can’t tell the difference.

I would say Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. I was skeptical of how fun this event would be, but we all had a wonderful time. Baby Alexander loved it too, even without being able to eat candy himself. He enjoyed the people complimenting him and just seeing all the costumes and wonder around him.
Brilliant costumes, all of you! Well done!

Amazing costumes, Adam! What fun. And that’s really cool that you dressed up as Mando and your son as Grogu. That is cute! I adore baby Yoda. I have a doll of him on my computer desk.
