Ketanji Brown Jackson was considered for the Supreme Court by the Obama Administration out of five candidates after the death of Antonin Scalia in 2016. The nomination later went to Merritt Garland but he was not confirmed to the Supreme Court after Mitch McConnell played partisan politics to keep him out.
