Barry Burton is a member of the STARS police force for Raccoon City and has one the most powerful weapons in the game. If you play as Chris Redfield, you don’t see him much, but I always played as Jill Valentine, so I was very familiar with him.

He’s definitely kind of like a father figure to Jill Valentine. A reliable friend and a constant protector.

Well until we find out that Albert Wesker has his wife and daughters at his mercy and makes Barry Burton his slave. Barry Burton eventually does the right thing and breaks his forced alliance with Wesker, to help Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield.
