When I was a kid, I actually watched a little bit more Beavis and Butt-Head then I probably should have. I knew that Viacom had restarted the series again on Paramount+ and I heard they had this new movie too.

I was actually surprised that the film still started in 1998, back when the original airing was still fresh.

Beavis and Butthead win a trip to space camp and get unfortunately mistaken for geniuses after goofing off with space equipment.

Which gets them set on a real space mission with actual astronauts. But after virtually dooming the crew’s death, they get sacrificed but end up in a worm hole.

And sent back to Earth in the present day of 2022. Their only mission is to find the woman astronaut that they thought they were going to score with.

I was actually surprised that Beavis and Butthead Do the Universe isn’t very sci-fi. But it’s definitely very charming in a Beavis and Butthead way and it has a decent story. I thought the first movie Do America was better, but I definitely had fun watching this one.
