Our Visit to the South Carolina Aquarium (Charleston SC)

I was in middle school over 20 years ago and this was the first time since then that I visited the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, South Carolina. I had fun memories of it, and I knew it would be a decent place to take the kids.

Princess L definitely liked the interactive parts of the aquarium like petting the rays.

And of course, all the fish (big and small) that you get to see.

I do love that every aquarium has a tank for everybody to go “Whoa, it’s Nemo and Dory. I can’t believe it.”

I was also surprised to see this bald eagle there. You really get to see this majestic bird in its beauty pretty close up.

There was also a snake that I was surprised Princess L was actually willing to touch.

She even got to pet a baby alligator.

Baby Alexander was with me the whole time (kangaroo style) and it seemed like he enjoyed the aquarium. He does seem to be more interested in my father-in-law’s pet dogs than he is the fish. But he’s only 9 months old, so it’s kind of expected.

That’s neat that they have more than just fish there. Birds and snakes too? Very cool!
