Frances Bavier who played Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show was notoriously hard to work with off screen. She was often rude to her co-stars including Andy Griffith, whom she never seemed to like very much. Andy Griffith said that she reached out months before she died to apologize for her behavior when they worked together.
She must not have been a happy person.
At least she recognized and tried to atone for her ways in the end, but sad for those who had to deal with her being a diva for all of those years.
I guess “Bee” stood for “Bitch!”
