Count Dooku was a character I didn’t appreciate much as a kid, but I’ve grown to like him after watching the films as a man.

The prequel did a poor job of explaining that he was a former Jedi who was fed up with the corruption of the Old Republic. Dooku was also ironically the Jedi Master of Qui-Gon Jinn. I thought it was interesting that Count Dooku basically told Obi-Wan the whole truth about Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Obi-Wan and the rest of the Jedi didn’t believe it.

He served as the face of the military command of the Trade Federation during the Clone Wars. But it was obvious he knew that his master was the leader of the Old Republic officially and this is was all a big game.

He’s definitely without a doubt one of the most powerful Jedi that ever existed in the Old Republic. Which definitely made him a prime candidate to be pushed to the dark side.

Dooku makes quick work out of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker during Attack of the Clones. He also cuts off Anakin Skywalker’s arm which was the first maiming that made up his Darth Vader body later.

Dooku’s fight against Yoda was kind of disappointing. Count Dooku couldn’t best his old master and Yoda couldn’t secure a victory against his old Padawan.

For which Dooku manages to escape and cause a whole bunch of death and destruction during the Clone Wars

He serves as the main antagonist of the very beginning of Revenge of the Sith. Getting a rematch with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.

And Anakin Skywalker cuts off his hands and takes his lightsaber. Anakin Skywalker gets a little closer to the dark side by taking his head, even though he no longer opposed any threat.
