When I first heard of Persona 5 Strikers, I originally thought it was a re-release of Persona 5 that they were going to make on the Nintendo Switch. Then shortly after it was released, I heard it was a spinoff action game. I had never played Persona 5 but I figured this would be a decent entry to the series and I was terribly wrong.

I definitely wanted to see Joker in something since he made a huge splash when he was introduced into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate years ago. And it seems this game does bring back the voice actors and characters as they were from their original game.

Here is where it all goes wrong and I should have done my research. It’s not a clever spinoff game as it’s another entry in the Dynasty Warriors series. I didn’t even like the ones they based on the Legend of Zelda.

And it’s a lot worse with Persona in my opinion. I had no idea what was going on and the combat is just so mindlessly terrible.

I would imagine those who like the Dynasty Warriors games and Persona 5 would imagine this to be a match made in heaven. But this is just a small slice of my personal hell. It’s my biggest regret ever for paying good money for a single video game.
