My mother-in-law and her husband rented out a condo for a week next to the beach at Hilton Head, South Carolina. We weren’t going to say “no” to a practically free vacation. We were on the 4th floor with the ocean view.

The condo was like a little nice apartment. Definitely more space for the kiddos than a hotel room.

During our stay at the Island Club, we got to use a lot of the facilities. The kids enjoyed the playground, but it was too hot for them to enjoy it for long.

So our most frequented spot was at the pool. We had bought a lot of pool floats from Five Below before our vacation. The shark one is mine, but Alexander sure did love to play with it.

Their main pool is pretty small and technically only graded for 25 people at a time. Island Club Resort has three considerable buildings, so on a Saturday; things got pretty full, pretty fast.

Alexander was not a good fit for the kiddie pool though. He absolutely screamed if he had a floatie on, but he would be trip and get a face full of water constantly. So whoever had Alexander duty, had their hands full.

But my boy did enjoy the beach. The beach at this particular spot of Hilton Head was pretty laid back. A bit more populated from what I heard, but definitely very family-friendly and most importantly safe.

This was just one example of Alexander passing out from all the fun and sunshine.
