The titular character of any film is hard to hate, unless you just don’t like the movie. Almost all the critics actually hated Adam Sandler and Billy Madison back in the 90s. But fans like me consider this to be one of his best works, if not his magnum opus.

Though his character and movie have aged a little. Billy may be a little bit too crude and cheesy for his own good sometimes.

But what doesn’t age, is his pursuit to get a date with the pretty teacher Veronica Vaughn.

Despite being kind of crude about it, he generally kind of loved her. And once they become an item, he seems to be fairly loyal to her as well.

I love the concept of him going back to schoo, l going through all the grades but the high school bits are definitely the worst parts of the movie. I guess it foreshadowed my own path to High School, because it was depressing.

But his goal to get his father’s company was always pretty fun to watch.

I still never understood why he had challenged Eric to a competition like he did.

And while the Industrial Revolution speech was fun to watch, he miraculously becomes the winner.

But he decides to step down fairly immediately and become a teacher instead. It made a lot of sense but it kind of makes the rest of the movie pointless, LOL.
This is a classic! My husband and I have watched this so many times and it never gets old.
