Carl Alphonse was a good character on Billy Madison. He didn’t do or say much but he was a nice guy.

Probably the only person at the Madison Hotel company that actually tolerated or maybe even liked Billy.

He was a friend to almost everybody and Eric Gordon tried to make him his partner in crime but while he was an open ear, he was never an evil participant.

And funny enough, the plot of the whole movie becomes moot when Billy decides that running the hotel was not in the cards for him. But it makes so much sense to give the job to Carl, for which everybody agrees.
