Before Adam Sandler started casting famous beautiful women in his movies to be his love interest, he had used more unknown actresses and Veronica Vaughn was my favorite of the originals. I didn’t realize until now, but she was also Sonya Blade about a year later in the first Mortal Kombat movie.

She was the third grade teacher of the elementary school in the movie and originally Billy finds her before getting into her class and tries to get a date with her and fails.

And she absolutely despises him when he spends the two weeks in her class. Especially when he starts making fun of other kids

But she starts to but her guard down when he does something nice for Ernie. And before we know it, they start dating.

I think I like her a lot because she was strong and didn’t put up with crap. She was not shy or timid about putting Billy in his place.

He wasn’t shy at all about fantasizing about her in his head.

I will say this scene was absolutely hilarious. Billy was so darn close…

They stay together at the end of the movie and she supports Billy in his quest to be a teacher. I kind of wonder if she didn’t care what he was, as long as he was rich, LOL.
