Chubbs Peterson is such a beloved character in my book. Before the movie starts, he was a golf legend but that all ended when an alligator bit off one of his hands.

But with some luck, he manages to spot Happy Gilmore before he really goes pro and becomes his mentor. But not without some ups and downs, because Happy really didn’t want to play golf.

He was a good teacher, even though it took forever to teach Happy how to putt.

I always get sad at the scene where he dies even though it’s kind of funny. He deserved a little better than that to be honest, LOL.

But he appears to Happy in a vision where he’s all fine and good and he’s got his hand back in heaven.
