Bobby’s daddy shows up at the last minute of the movie, but at first we think he’s deceased or something. But this happens after Bobby’s mother tells him the truth that his daddy just abandoned them.

Renaming himself the (Spanish) Roberto instead of Robert. He shows up realizing that Bobby could make a lot of money in the NFL and that he wanted to be partners.

For which his ex-wife immediately tackles him like Bobby does football players.

Which I was very happy for his mother, LOL.
