General Armitage Hux is one of the most notable villains in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, though I always found him more unlikeable than likeable as a character. I already knew his actor, Domhnall Gleeson, from his role as Bill Weasley in the beloved Harry Potter film series.

Apparently, Hux is the son of an Imperial officer from the old Empire, which helped him rise to the high ranks of the First Order. This “nepo baby” definitely had a lot of similarities to certain German figures from the 1930s and MAGA losers today.

Most of Hux’s story in the sequel trilogy revolves around him constantly being humiliated by Kylo Ren. When Han Solo’s dark son becomes the new Supreme Leader, Hux grows extremely resentful and even becomes a spy for the Resistance—just to get revenge on Ben Solo. Honestly, I kind of admire that level of pettiness.

Hux creates a fake cover to hide the fact that he betrayed the First Order, but a new general—fiercely loyal to the resurrected Emperor Palpatine—figures it out pretty easily.

That general shoots Hux dead on the spot with a blaster, without trial or warning, giving General Hux a very anticlimactic end.
