Prince Tricky is one of the most important side characters in Star Fox Adventures on the Nintendo GameCube. But he could have been a better sidekick. It’s also worth noting that he was part of the original concept of Dinosaur Planet before it became a GameCube game featuring Star Fox. In that version, Krystal would have been his companion instead of Fox McCloud.

You meet him early in the game. He’s a triceratops prince, and General Scales wants his royal blood eliminated or something along those lines.

And he’s more of a runner than a fighter, lol.

His moments with his parents are kind of sweet. Good thing Rare didn’t orphan him.

But he serves a rather minor role in gameplay. If I remember correctly, he runs around and finds things for Fox. He’s somewhat like Navi in Ocarina of Time for Link, but not nearly as useful. Nevertheless, it’s hard to hate the little dinosaur.
