My niece Charlotte just had her seventh birthday party at the Dr. T.K. Gregg Community Center in Spartanburg, SC, where I used to live and most of my extended family still does. I have a photo editing app that improves picture quality, and just to note, it made some of these pictures make the water look a lot more green than it really was. The water was clean and well kept.

The place is a pretty basic pool party setup but indoors. I strongly advise bringing your own pool toys because they don’t really have much besides a slide for the small kids and a basketball goal with a ball. I was too distracted by my wife’s surgery pains to remember to corral those for this event.

Alex really didn’t want me to leave him, so I got stuck in the baby area for most of the time. Little bud loves to swim… just not alone lol.

They also have a party room afterward for cake and presents. Charlotte had a good crowd, as some of us had to stand once all the seats were eventually taken. I wouldn’t be shocked if Charlotte has it there again next year.
What fun and what a wonderful Dad moment in that photo! I was always taught you should never have enough seats for everyone so people mingle. Not very common advice in Middle America. (Nor in Norway where everyone is seated the entire time.)
Alex is adorable and you are the best uncle and dad around.

What a fun place for a birthday party! Little Alex seems to love being in the water with you!
