My wife just recently had to return to New Orleans, Louisiana for her second round of breast reconstruction surgery. We were supposed to go back in November, but she developed some open wounds after overstraining herself (she can be very stubborn at times), and they just kept getting worse. So her doctor scheduled the surgery sooner, and he was also going to sew up her back as well.

We flew there with Delta again. Two nearly flawless flights on spectacular Boeing 737s. We were treated well by the staff too.

Her surgery was long but successful. However, they operated on her back, her chest, and her stomach, so she had three very sore areas of her body, which made the first few days quite painful for her. She said she would rather have given birth to triplets than go through this, and I can see why. But this was expected, and her doctors and nurses did a fantastic job.

We flew home with American Airlines, and while we didn’t like the cramped feeling of the final plane, which wasn’t a Boeing, we still had a comfortable ride back. This trip pretty much cured me of all the flight anxiety I ever had. I am now eager to get on another plane instead of wanting to avoid it.
So sorry for what she and you are going through. I take it she doesn’t listen when you tell her to behave herself? I hope she does better this time around.
Glad she’s okay and it went well. All the best for her recovery. Yup, most of us woman are stubborn!!
