Our Visit To The French Market (New Orleans, LA)

French Market in New Orleans Louisiana USA

The French Market was our last fun activity while we were in New Orleans, Louisiana. I had assumed it would be like the one in Charleston, South Carolina, and in many ways it is. Though it is not quite as large or as long as the one back home in our little state of South Carolina.

But the tables are more unique and mostly outdoors. My wife bargained well for a new necklace for herself.

Some of the tables were filled with the gaudy touristy souvenirs you see almost everywhere in NOLA.

But other tables offered things you never see anywhere else. I actually bought Pikachu (Pokémon) artwork from a local artist, which she printed on old newspaper. It was a reprint, as the somewhat smaller copy at 15 dollars was a steal compared to the larger original priced at 150. I was so glad we had the chance to visit this place.

  1. Looks like fun, although I hate dickering on price (but I’m good at it).
