U Pizza is a place in New Orleans, Louisiana that’s really close to the hospital where my wife’s surgery was. I have ARFID, so my options can be limited even with food all around me, so for lunch I walked down the sidewalk to check this place out. It’s not a super great interior, but it wasn’t bad. It was strange to eat in a restaurant alone, which is something I haven’t done in a long time.
The pizza was pretty good, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best in New Orleans. The cheese, I think, is the weakest part of the pizza, but it’s still enjoyable. I was able to finish my lunch and ate the entire small pizza. If we had to come back to New Orleans for round three (which is an optional possibility) I would certainly have another pizza for a future lunch.
Never heard of ARFID before had to Google it. I’d also struggle, I have a milk intolerance and am a veggie too. Choices are limited for pizza but I do like a good pizza. But vegan cheese doesn’t melt as well as real!
