Hocus Pocus is the name of the notable rabbit in the Rankin/Bass production of Frosty the Snowman. He’s a likable little rabbit, though somewhat forgettable at times, as I never realized his name was Hocus Pocus until I looked it up.

Professor Hinkle was his technical owner, but the bond between the magician and his magical rabbit was as thin as paper. Hocus Pocus takes every opportunity to hop away whenever he can.

He easily tags along with Helen and Frosty to the North Pole, and none of the three seem to see anything wrong with the plan of taking an old-fashioned train to the North Pole and back in a single night.

To his credit, he’s the one who manages to flag Santa down so he can tell him what happened, convincing Jolly Old Saint Nick to hurry to the greenhouse and revive Frosty from his melted pool of water.

He joins the rest of the characters for the happy conclusion to the story, though we never see him in any of the spin-offs or sequels, if I remember correctly. Hopefully, Professor Hinkle didn’t try to get revenge and turn him into rabbit stew.
