Our 2026 Easter wasn’t the most awesome holiday ever, but we still had a good time. Due to medical and personal problems behind the scenes, we weren’t exactly prepared for a gigantic Easter celebration. The weekend before Easter, I took my son Alex to an Easter egg hunt at the church I attended in my youth. He got to celebrate with us, my mom, my brother Zach, and my niece Charlotte. He was actually the oldest in his age group and absolutely destroyed the competition. It sounds impressive until I realized some of the little toddlers only had maybe two or three eggs.

Then came Easter. I had promised Alex that the Easter Bunny would get him something really good. His request was a Spider-Man T-Rex, which wasn’t easy to find because they don’t make them anymore, and most of the sellers on eBay knew that. The Easter Bunny also served as a way to keep him focused on potty training, so it wasn’t like he wasn’t going to deliver what Alex wanted.

We went to her mother’s house to celebrate the main part of Easter. We all ate lunch, but it was a very low-energy Easter, and honestly, it was a very nap-inducing vibe.

It started to rain that day, so we weren’t going to attempt an outdoor Easter egg hunt. Instead, we had a TON of eggs and decided to hide them throughout her house. Both kids were very happy, and Alex kept up with Lily despite only having a slight head start. That was his only advantage.
A good time. Alexander look so happy 😀 Hope everything is okay Adam, sending hugs.
That’s quite the take for them both!
Ours was quiet too, but I preferred it that way. I am glad the kids seemed to have a great Easter. And good luck with the potty training!
