Dempsey’s Pizza is a pizza place we went to at the very end of our spring break vacation. It is actually much closer to home for us than Charleston in South Carolina, and we went there after a few detours and made it in time for dinner. I had never been there before, but I had heard amazing things, so I was not entirely surprised to see a large line going out the front door on a Thursday night. Not a Friday night, not a Saturday night, a THURSDAY night.

The place actually reminds me a lot of Pizza Inn. The cooking area, the buffet, and the seating all feel very Pizza Inn-like. But our waitress was super sweet and got Alex a bowl of pickles just because he asked for it. Like Pizza Inn, the waitresses basically just tend to your drinks, so she really did not have to do that.

As for the buffet, it was pretty good. But as a vegetarian, I was a bit annoyed because I could easily find pepperoni on the bar but not a traditional cheese pizza, and it was so busy that I did not know who to talk to to request it. So I ended up getting pepperoni and just giving the pepperoni slices to my wife or my son. It was not the most mind-blowing pizza I was hoping for, but it was pretty darn good. Not good enough for me to drive from Greenville, South Carolina just for it, but anytime we are in the area, I would definitely want to stop by again.
