Anthony’s Pizzeria is located in Simpsonville, South Carolina, not too far from home, though the traffic in that area is enough to give me pause about making the trip regularly. My mother came to spend the day with me and Alex, and since she loves the Baskin-Robbins that sits close by, it worked out as a natural stopping point. I have ARFID, and pizza is one of my safe foods and genuinely my favorite, so I suggested we give this place a try.

It turned out to be a much more casual operation than I was picturing. I had assumed it would be a traditional sit-down family Italian restaurant, but it leans much closer to fast food pizza. The best comparison I can think of is the Clock restaurants scattered around upstate South Carolina, except instead of the kind of redneck food you find there, this place serves pizza and similar items. That said, I genuinely enjoyed our slices. Nothing about them was amazing, but they were satisfying and filling, and I believe we shall return.
