Fun Fact: Axis Anti-Communist Pact

Japan and Germany sign anti-communist treaty axis powers

The Anti-Comintern Pact was an anti-communist alliance between Germany and Japan signed in 1936. While Japan didn’t fight much of a communist resistance during World War II, the signing of the pact sent a clear message to the Soviet Union who declared war very late during World War II against Japan.
