Jeralt is somewhat major and minor in the game. He is the father of Byleth and he used to be a soldier for the Church of Seiros.

Byleth and him soon work for the church, he resuming more of his knightly duties, and Byleth becoming a professor for the academy.

For most of the game, he isn’t around for many important things.

But he does show up for a mission when the game start gets interesting for Byleth and her house. In my route in the game, I was with the Black Eagles.

I tried to not get him to fight, as I wanted the EXP for my team, but he was a decent warrior.

But when we think he’s safe… he soon talks with the beautiful but creepy redhead Monica.

Who turns out to be a demon working for other dark beings. They slay Jeralt for reasons…

And he dies in Byleth’s arms before getting a chance to tell her that her mom was a clone of Rhea. Oops.
