Android 21 was pretty good for an original villian made just for the game. I got spoiled before the game ever came out for Nintendo Switch, so I wasn’t too shocked on her story.

We first think she’s a “good” android who helps out Android 18.

But turns out she’s evil and like Cell she is made up of the genes of all the greatest warriors…including Majin Buu.

She has an odd relationship with the Z warriors. She never seems to want to get the final battle started until many hours later.

In the first two modes of the campaign, she is defeated and quite easily.

But in the last, we see a more human Android 21. 16, 17, and 18 tag along with her and they see her going mad and whatnot.

Android 16 goes to great lengths to protect her…and gets killed…by her. Well, that’s a head scratcher.

She eventually splits into two forms, much like Majin Buu. There’s a good Android 21 and now and even more evil Android 21. And sure enough, the evil one is far more powerful.

Eventually you get to fight the real Android 21’s evil side and she’s quite tough to beat.

Especially as the game forces you to face her alone as the good Android 21 to put the last nail in the coffin. I had to retry the final battle a good number of times before I beat her in battle.

And the good 21 sacrifices herself to take herself down with her evil counterpart. I kind of hated that. I’d like to see her in the future…but oh well.

She isn’t the greatest of fighters offline or online, but she does have her tricks. I enjoyed battling as her.
