Things I Like: Bayonetta (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)

While it’s been years since I played her first game on Xbox 360, Sega’s Bayonetta witch returns from Smash 4 to fight again in Ultimate.

She’s a pretty fast and powerful character which is right up my alley. I will say, I thought her bullets would be weak, but they are surprisingly good to use. Especially against larger and less agile opponents. You can almost create a good barrier of sorts to make them back off.

I didn’t like her counter move too much. She merely changes the flow of time for a second, instead of attacking back with the same power. While kind of cool, I wasn’t very good at it.

Her final smash is one of the worst in the game. Mainly because you have to hit enemies while this witch clock dwindles down. You might get one person at best, or miss overall.

If you are lucky, your foe gets set to be a snack to her dragon-like demon. Which is a pretty powerful move.

When Kirby takes Bayonetta’s powers, he gets her guns. A great choice for Kirby.

While she’s far from my top fighters, I did well with Bayonetta. So I don’t mind using her often.
