I remember liking the dog and duck duo a little in Smash 4, but I didn’t like them too much in Ultimate.

They certainly are unique fighters. None of their moves are like anybody else’s in the game.

But that doesn’t mean the moves are that good. They certainly require a lot of skill. You won’t just be able to wing these moves off and expect to win a match.

Duck Hunt’s final smash calls cameos from all the NES Zapper games. And they unleash a fury on an unlucky foe. While it is powerful, it’s easy to miss, so it’s not my favorite.

When Kirby takes Duck Hunt’s powers, he gets a pretty cute set of dog ears and a nose. He also gets the trick shot with the Hogan’s Alley can. Which is one of Duck Hunt’s few useful moves. But it is quite easy for your foe to dodge it, except during team battles.

So overall, I didn’t have much online against enemies with Duck Hunt. His moves are too slow and easy to dodge. A bit of a shame, I was fan of the NES game as a kid.
