While his importance grows more over time, he starts out as the boss at the newspaper Zoe Barnes and Lucas Goodwin work at. I always liked him, and his no non-sense attitude.

He believes in the integrity of journalism, and often stands in the way of Zoe’s attempt to be new and different. But he ends up quitting the paper when the bigwigs above him start thinking like Zoe.

He does manage to come back to talk some sense into Lucas Goodwin, who happened to be right.

But after some time away and away, he comes back to journalism and proves to be a thorn in the side to the Underwoods.

But not just elections, he wants the truth about if or if not Frank Underwood had murdered people. He even brings about Frank’s political doom.

But Claire Underwood has enough of him and has him taken out. To the public, it would seem like he was killed in robbery gone wrong. I do admire his bravery here and his devotion to his dog above himself.
