I’ve always liked using any of the Links in the Super Smash Bros. series. I was glad to see Toon Link return, but since he was never “replaced” ever in the series, I’m not too shocked to see him back.
Actually they got all the Links together this time around. Toon Link plays the most like Young Link than Breath of the Wild Link.
But most of their moves are the same. He’s a good fighter with a strong sword, good weapons, and with his short and quick nature, he’s a good member of any team or as a solo champion.
His Final Smash is Triforce Slash, which was the standard Final Smash for all Links since Brawl, though regular Link no longer uses it. While you have to be close, it’s powerful and a good one to use in my opinion.
Like all Links, Kirby gets the bow and arrow with Toon Link’s powers absorbed. It has no extra fire like Young Link’s so it’s the weakest arrow among all the Links.
While he wasn’t my favorite, or even favorite Link, I do like using Toon Link. But he’s not the greatest of the fighters, so I’m never afraid if I face another player using Toon Link. But I know to be careful because he can hurt if you let him.
