This movie came out about the time I really got into the comic book lore. I wasn’t a huge X-Men fan, but I did like the 90’s cartoon, and played a few video games based on it.

They spent a good bit of time making X-Men more “serious” so to speak. I think they did a modest job at making it dark enough for aging fans but tame enough not to scare the younger ones away.

Out of the original 3, this movie was probably the best. Especially if you consider the quality of the last in the trilogy.
