I only heard about this after Metal Gear Solid got huge. I had the sudden urge to find a copy, and man was I disappointed.

For what it’s worth, it’s pretty similar to its 3D sequels, for an NES game anyway. Solid Snake sneaks around, shoots stuff, and smokes cigarettes.

The only problem with that is that’s it’s pretty hard to sneak around in an NES game. There’s a thin line between sneaking and getting caught red handed. It’s pretty brutal when it comes to forgiveness.

Plus the game is inferior to the MSX original (Japan only) with different levels and worse graphics. There wasn’t even a Metal Gear, the final boss was a super computer. Yeah, that’s scary.
