My wife introduced me to the series not long ago. I remember it coming out back in the mid-2000s but I never saw a single episode. I really enjoyed the first season. Definitely a great choice to binge.

The show is centered around a guy named Chuck Bartowski. His old college buddy was secretly a CIA agent and he sent him an email with every secret you can imagine. Chuck is unwillingly turned into a living “supercomputer” of sorts.

Chuck is really just a normal guy working at Buy More (a parody of Best Buy/Circuit City) store in California. He doesn’t really think much after getting the email. The CIA and the NSA know he got the email from his old friend Bryce.

CIA agent Sarah Walker finds him and eventually becomes his protector.

The showrunners definitely have no shame by flaunting her. She’s isn’t really my type, but I do like her heart, her intelligence, her loyalty (sometimes) to Chuck, and she’s a complete bad-ass when the evil guys show up.

NSA agent John Casey is also a member of the team. He often has the personality of a Republican robot, but he can be more ruthless than Sarah can.

I find it funny that pretty much everybody Chuck works with at the Buy More is a complete loser. His best friend Morgan is definitely a prime example of this. As Hank Hill says “that boy ain’t right.”

I also like the character of Chuck’s sister Ellie. She’s definitely one of the best big sisters in all fiction. Definitely beats mean older brothers like I had.
