Out of the main Avatar: The Last Airbender characters to appear The Legend of Korra, Sokka is the most brief. To be fair, he was suffering under the handicap of being dead by the time the series started.
He became a big figure in the new Republic City. He outlived Aang and was part of a group to protect Korra when she was very young.
But all we really get to see of him is his residing over the trial of Yakone. For which he gets blood bended after delivering a guilty verdict. They could have done more with him during the show’s run.
