During World War II, the Soviet Union had trained dogs to blow up enemy tanks. Unfortunately, the program was mostly unsuccessful as the dogs had trouble with moving tanks that could shoot them. They also used their noses to sniff out which tanks to identify, and since the Germans used a different type of fuel for their tanks, they often accidentally targeted Russian tanks.
