West Virginia Senator Shelley Moore Capito shot down the idea that Merrick Garland should be nominated by Barack Obama in 2016 because it was an election year. And in 2020 she called for an immediate vote for Trump’s nominee Amy Comey Barrett despite it being an election year, and even shorter time to that election.
