Carol Willick was a decent minor character on the sitcom Friends. She was Ross’ ex-wife who left him for a woman.

And their lives are tied together forever as she was pregnant right before the divorce. Despite that rough time during pregnancy, they did co-parent really well.

I will say that it was kind of wrong that she was trying not to give Ben the last name Geller before the pregnancy was over. Ross got done dirty by her and didn’t seem to have much custody over Ben, so she could have thrown him a bone and given Ben a proper last name.

Ironically enough, she actually cheats on Susan by kissing Ross when he was vulnerable and I think she was mad at Susan. Which really means that Carol was really bisexual, not a lesbian that had an awakening after being forced to be heterosexual by society. I do love the sitcom Friends but it was kind of wrong for them to write a character that was a victim of Bi erasure.

But Friends was a pretty progressive show for the ’90s, as such there was the first lesbian wedding on television. And her father refused to attend it. And Ross was ironically the man that gave her away. Technically at this time, this wouldn’t have been legal in New York for two women to get married.

And presumably they stay together to this day. I hope she didn’t get divorced again like Ross, LOL.
