Fun Fact: The Anti Communist Party in China Was Once Pro Communist

The Kuomintang is a political party in Taiwan that is staunchly anti-communist but they have long historical ties to mainland China from which they had fled from. They had once been allies in 1924 and worked with the Chinese Communist party and the Soviet Union. Their Alliance was called the First United Front and their common enemy were the warlords who had ruled China.

It wasn’t uncommon for a person to be members of both parties back then as Communists wanted to use the popularity of the other the spread their message and the Kuomintang wanted to control communism from within.
