Sidon was a very memorable character in Breath of the Wild. And I was glad to see him return in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

He’s a vital part of the story. Since the events of the last game, I believe he’s gotten engaged to the green fish lady. I almost forgot that his sister was in love with Link in the last game. What is it with fish people falling in love with Hylians?

He’s your main helper to the water temple.

And his power is the least useful of all the Sages. You get a water shield that can protect you from one hit, but will disappear after a tiny bit of time or when you try to attack. Granted it shoots water when you do that, but I barely ever used this. It was mainly only helpful when I was in the Depths and was about to fight a large army of enemies and wanted to protect myself from gloom.

When we defeat the water temple, he gets to meet his ancestor who fought alongside Rauru against Ganondorf.

And becomes his successor as sage of water and you get his avatar to fight alongside you.

And right after that, he’s crowned King by his father when his daddy abdicates the throne.

But luckily for Link, his royal duties do not prevent him from showing up to fight Ganondorf and his minions at the last battle.

And Sidon survives to see Ganondorf dead and Princess Zelda return. Which is great.
