Things I Hate: Splatoon 3 (Nintendo Switch)

Splatoon 3 was something I was looking forward to playing but I got it for Christmas in 2022 and I never would have guessed how unmotivated I would have been to play it.

I was a really big fan of the second game despite never playing the original. I found the single-player mode to be boring so I didn’t even try doing it for this game either. Everything seems to be about the same this go around.

The graphics the gameplay and the online play could easily can be confused with its predecessor.

For those not familiar Splatoon, it is a shooter that instead of trying to wipe out your enemy team, you’re mainly trying to paint their field but you can attack others to prevent them from getting to your turf.

For which matches are decided by how much one team’s color filled the map versus another’s.

But I don’t know if it’s the maps, the balance of the weapons, or whatever, but I just found Splatoon 3 to be such a bore. I remember being almost addicted to Splatoon 2 but with the third game it was difficult to win matches like I used to and nobody really seem to be talking about it online so I don’t think I’m the only one. What’s really doesn’t make me excited for a potential Splatoon 4.
