Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha had a strange life. He was born a British prince (as a grandson of Queen Victoria), became a German Duke, but ended his career as a politician working for Adolf Hitler. He received minor punishments after the war but definitely lived a meager retirement before dying in 1954 in West Germany.
