June was a bit of a surprise for me as I did not hear that Reba McEntire had any kind of role on Young Sheldon. Let alone one that was a reoccurring appearance instead of a cameo. The first thing I thought was how happy my mom must have been when she watched this because she is a big Reba McEntire fan, especially her old sitcom.

She’s actually Dale’s ex-wife which puts her technically at odds with Meemaw. But the antagonism between them both never gets that bad. June doesn’t seem to be too happy to ever see her ex-husband, which I can’t blame her and constantly does things to mess with him. Like bringing a much younger date to their son’s wedding.

But more or less, Connie and June become friends and it’s actually kind of sweet. They were never at any point BFFs, but not a bad relationship for the circumstances.

The biggest rift in their friendship was when she accidentally won a large sum of money from Connie’s (highly illegal) casino room and Memaw has absolutely no way to pay out that much money at one given time.

I forget exactly what happens to her at the end, because she was notable for a while and then just kind of disappeared.
