Dr. Grant Linkletter was a decent character on Young Sheldon, but far from the best of the minor characters. Heck, he isn’t even one of the best people that works at the university that Sheldon attends.

He’s a colleague of John Sturgis and he becomes one of Sheldon’s college professors when he’s taken out of high school for being so smart.

The thing I remember most about him was him trying to get a date with Sheldon’s grandmother Meemaw. Out of all for potential suitors, he had the least amount of luck with Connie Tucker.

Which puts him and John Sturgis in a very antagonistic relationship. But by the end of the series, neither of the two are actually romantically linked to Connie anymore.

I will respect his decision to tell Sheldon to go study at another college when he outgrows the mediocre Texas place of learning, even though that hurt Linkletter on his own career path.
