Fun Facts and Trivia About The Video Game Bubsy 3D

Bubsy 3D, the video game, was also known as Bubsy 3D: Furbitten Planet and Bubsy Is 3D in Furbitten Planet.

Bubsy 3D was the first and only 3D game in the series. The series’ creator returned to work on this game, but when he saw previews of Super Mario 64, he realized he was far behind. Unfortunately, he was not given much opportunity to fix it.

Bubsy’s voice actress, Lani Minella, said she had to perform a voice so annoying that “everybody should hate it.”

The development of Bubsy 3D originally began for the Sega 32X console. It was later moved to the PlayStation, though there were plans to release it for the Sega Saturn, but plans that were ultimately canceled.

A strange aspect of Bubsy 3D was its memory card support. Like most PlayStation games, it supported memory cards, but for those who bought it in Europe, saving progress via memory card was not an option.
