Yunsung is one of the many characters in Soul Calibur II. I’m pretty sure he was one of the completely new original characters introduced in the second game. He was supposed to be from Korea.

I was trying to figure out what kind of sword he uses in real life, but Namco just lists it as a Chinese sword. Then again, to be fair, Korea was never particularly known for its warriors or military power, having basically been a pawn of either China or Japan for most of its history.

He kind of reminds me of Mitsurugi but with a bit more style. He’s got excellent power, decent range, and some flashy kicks.

As a well-rounded character, he can usually hold his own against almost anybody without being overpowered. I found him mostly fun to play as.

Though on my list of favorite characters, he’s not anywhere near the top five. I also don’t remember him being in the fourth game, if he was there at all. And if that’s the case, I definitely don’t remember playing as him too vividly, obviously.
