Sophitia Alexandra is one of the most notable fighters in Soul Calibur II, even if she is secret and unlockable. She was a major character in both the original game Soul Edge/Blade and in Soul Calibur I, so it was good to find out that she was not completely cut from the game after all.

She is supposed to be Greek, and her sister Cassandra is a playable character as well. They both use the same Greek short sword and shield and pretty much feel like the exact same character. It is kind of funny that either of them could pass for Celtic, British, German, or Viking, but not really Greek.

Like Soul Calibur I, Namco was never shy about the “fan service” she provided to the mostly male fanbase. Her short skirt could easily flip upward and reveal her underwear, even if you did not mean for it to happen. I will admit that this did excite me when I was 14.

But just like her sister Cassandra, I have always enjoyed playing as her. Her sword and shield techniques are pretty cool, and I think her kicks are pretty awesome as well.

Is she my favorite character in the game? Of course not, but she has always been a staple for me in the Soul Calibur series. I do remember playing her more in the first game than in Soul Calibur II.
