Cleveland Park has a playground right next to the Greenville Zoo, and I took my kids there while my wife was working and my mother was in town visiting. Honestly, almost every kid gets to go at least once because of the zoo. I’m not sure how old the current playground equipment is, but I know I played on its predecessor during a kindergarten field trip back in 1993.

There are technically three different sections to the playground, which makes it hard to keep an eye on your kids, especially if you have two and you’re there by yourself. It’s even harder if you’ve got two kids like mine who don’t always listen.

My stepdaughter Lily loves the playground. She’s about to turn 10 and is already the size of a 12-year-old, so she’s starting to get a little too old for some of the equipment. It’s going to be a sad day when she doesn’t want to play with her brother anymore.

Alex had a good time too, but we had to cut our visit short because it started to rain and I was getting really hungry. It’s not my favorite playground in the area, but it’s still a solid option at the very least.
Looks like fun! My daughter doesn’t listen either! It is hard to keep an eye on them at these sort of things.
Our zoo has a playground this size too that makes it hard to follow if you have more than one child. I think it’s fun though that your son gets to enjoy the same fun you had when you were his age there.
Both your kiddos are growing up, Adam! It’s great you are sharing things you enjoyed as a kid with them. Hopefully they’ll be friends throughout their lives. You’re a good dad!
