Stompenclomper is a notable boss in Donkey Kong Bananza for the Nintendo Switch 2. He is not much to look at, and that is putting it generously. Some of the bosses in this game lean toward the ugly side, and he is near the top of that list.

His whole deal is jumping up and down like a wind-up toy, and there is not much going on with him in terms of story. The objective is straightforward: get Donkey Kong and Pauline to take him down.

The game at least gives you a visual warning showing where he is about to come crashing down, which makes it much easier to get out of the way. That is particularly useful earlier in the game before you have built up the skills and abilities that come later.

Eventually you get the opportunity to lay into him with some solid punches. Transforming into Super Donkey Kong is also a smart move if you want to unload maximum damage.

He did not give me much trouble overall, and if I remember right the reward is five bunches of bananas, which is a worthwhile upgrade. Looking back on the game as a whole, he ended up being one of my least favorite bosses in the bunch.
