Nightmare is the final boss of Kirby’s Adventure on the NES. Probably my favorite final boss in the Kirby series.

Ironically, it is Kirby who awakens Nightmare. When he plants the Star Rod, King Dedede obviously seems like he knows what’s going to happen.

And boy, Kirby sure does regret that.

But at least Kirby cleans up his own mess. The first form of Nightmare is pretty easy. You fly around and shoot the Star Rod at him. While avoiding stars from Nightmare

His second form is much tougher. He kind of reminds me of Dracula from the Castlevania series. In both appearance and the way he fights.

Kirby defeats him and takes out a good bit of the Moon with him.
